Are you someone who enjoys riding a skateboard, longboard, inline skates, or roller skates? If so, SkateNavigator is an app that caters perfectly to your needs.

One key factor that differentiates skaters from runners and cyclists is the impact of the road surface. Enjoying your workout becomes challenging when road conditions are poor, such as being bumpy, old, or damaged.

SkateNavigator utilizes the power of Google Maps in combination with GPS tracking to provide comprehensive workout information similar to other apps. Moreover, it introduces a unique feature allowing users to rate the roads they skate on during their workouts. This shared feedback creates a network of rated roads that enhances the enjoyment and safety of skating.

 <li>Route Information:
 Users have the ability to rate every road they skate on. Segments of roads can be rated on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 indicating the worst skating surface and 5 representing the best.
 After completing each workout, users are prompted to rate segments of their route. This can be done by assigning stars to different parts of the route.
 Select start and end points on the map and rate segments at your convenience. Ratings can be added immediately after skating or later through the website on your desktop.

Post-workout, a summary of your results is displayed on the map:

 <li>Average speeds per segment highlighted by color variations (red, orange, green)</li>
 <li>Existing ratings on the route</li>
 <li>Segments awaiting ratings</li>

The app prompts users to rate unrated segments and verify existing ratings for accuracy.

Note: Utilizing the GPS features may impact your device’s battery life significantly.
